This dynamic, customer-focused library system supports the over 600,000 residents of Anne Arundel County, Maryland through 16 branches, mobile services, 319 FTE staff and user-friendly digital platforms. • Creates and implements a robust staff development plan to ensure that all staff have access to the resources, training, mentoring, and coaching for the skills needed not only to complete their assigned tasks but to enable them to grow.
• Explores opportunities for strategic collaboration with Anne Arundel Public Schools and other local educational institutions.
• Develops a new or improved organizational structure and service model that effectively aligns staffing with the library’s priorities and public demand.
• Champions a culture of intellectual freedom, reading, lifelong learning, and 21st century literacies.
